1. Hometown -> Beijing

Depart from hometown head towards the capital city of China – Beijing.
2. Beijing
Arrive Beijing today. Our tour guide will escort you to the hotel for rest. Hotel: Courtyard by Marriott Beijing Northeast or similar
3. Beijing
Visit Tiananmen Square after breakfast. Tiananmen is currently the world’s 3rd largest square, and is the center point of a lot of tourist attractions. We shall visit Zhengyangmen, Mao Mausoleum, Monument to the People’s Heroes, Great Hall of the People, and most importantly, the world’s famous Forbidden City. Forbidden City was the Chinese imperial palace from Ming Dynasty to the end of Qing Dynasty, and now served as “Palace Museum”, whose hosted extensive collection of artwork and artifacts of ancient China. After lunch we shall visit the Summer Palace of the Qing Dynasty, the largest royal garden of China. Enjoy an acrobatic show after dinner. 4. Beijing
After breakfast we head towards the Great Wall of China, and visit Juyongguan Gate at your own expenses. Enjoy Peking Duck for lunch, then Afterward we return to Beijing and visit the two famous 2008 Olympic Games venues – Bird’s Nest and Water Cube – from outside. Then we shall visit Tongrentang – experience the miracle of Chinese herb medication. Enjoy a traditional lamb hot pot as dinner tonight, and enjoy a foot massage after dinner. 5. Beijing ~ Nanjing
Proceed to Nanjing via high-speed train. The highlight of today is a visit to Dongshuiguan Old City Wall Ruins. Later we shall also visit the Yangtze River Bridge – the first ever double-decked road-rail truss bridge designed and built by China’s own technical strength back in the 50’s. Also witness the magnificent crystal murals, and enjoy a traditional Nanjing Salty Duck this evening, and then visit the Confucian Temple and cruise along Qinhuai River. 6. Nanjing — Wuxi
In the morning we shall first visit the burial ground of the Father of China – Dr. Sun Yat Sen. Afterward we stop at the Jade Museum and witness some of the finest jewelries. Enjoy a traditional lunch before heading to Wuxi – the Pearl of Lake Tai. We shall stop at Yuantouzhu, a perfect spot to experience the stunning beauty of Lake Tai. Prepare to act like an Emperor tonight since we are going to serve you a Qianlong Feast – the meal that Emperor Qianlong of Qin Dynasty took when he visited Jiangnan. 7. Guilin -> Suzhou
Visit Liyuan after breakfast; further admire the magnificent scenic of Lake Tai. Before lunch we shall stop by at the Pearl Breeding Center and Yixing Clay Teapot Museum. Later we proceed to Shan Tang Ancient Street for a brief city tour, and then move on to the historical Lingering Garden – one of the four most famous gardens of China. It was a private garden for silk traders and local gentries, that is why everything in the garden is somewhat reflecting the life of the upper class people in the old time. Afterward we move on to Jinji Lake, a newly developed scenic area of Suzhou. We exclusively arranged a traditional Suzhou cuisine at a lake front restaurant for dinner tonight. 8. Suzhou — Hangzhou

Experience the process of coloring of silk in the morning, and then we head towards Hangzhou and cruise on the West Lake. Enjoy some of the stunning scenic views such as Flower Pond, Orioles Singing in the Willows, and Three Ponds Mirroring the Moon. After dinner we are going to enjoy a massive dancing performance “Night of the West Lake” on your own expenses. (B/L/D) Hotel: Hangzhou Grand Metro Park Hotel or similar.

 Night of West Lake “Night of West Lake” is a dancing performance in the context of the history of the beautiful West Lake. In a 60 minutes show time, more than 100 performers presenting the stories in martial arts, acrobatics, folk songs, Shaoxing opera, and other performing elements, reflecting the history, the present and the future of Hangzhou.

Night Cruise at Huangpu River Enjoy the magnificent view of the Shanghai bund on a night cruise. The unique geographic location makes the Huangpu River the most attractive water landscape.

Suzhou Ancient Grand Canal The Grand Canal in Suzhou, with wide surface, abundant and crystal clear water, has been the best part of the Grand Canal for shipping. The old canal is about 35km long from Hushu Pass to Wujiang City. On both sides of the bank, white walls and black tiles are dotted in the open green country. The 53-hole Belt Bridge first built in Tang Dynasty lies across the old canal like a rainbow floating on the wave. The ancient ferries, ancient towing tie paths, ancient bridges along the canal are all witnesses of the economic development of the area along the old canal.

9. Hangzhou — Shanghai
Enjoy the Longjing tea in a tea village in the morning, then proceed to Shanghai after lunch. Visit the Chenghuang Temple old street to explore the old Shanghai people lives. Also visit Xintiandi Shanghai – an affluent car-free shopping, eating and entertainment district. After dinner we shall cruise along the Huangpu River at own expenses. 10. Shanghai -> Hometown
Transfer to Pudong International Airport for your flight home after breakfast. Wish you have a pleasant trip. (B)
